The main objective of this project is to describe the poaching situation in the Kootenay region over the last nine years and to make recommendations regarding how enforcement programs may be improved to limit poaching. The study concerns only ten game species in the region: moose, elk, bighorn sheep, moutain goat, white-tail deer, mule deer, black bear, grizzly bear, cougar, and caribou.
