WR 271 practicum report

Summary: Conservation officers use roadside checking stations to monitor animal population sizes and to enforce fishing, hunting and trapping regulations. Game checks help to ensure the regulations are being abided, and help preserve the environment in its natural state while still allowing for recreation to continue now and for the future. The purpose of this paper is to outline game check procedures and to determine whether or not the practice of game checks in the Vernon area is a success or failure.
